Jacob Rees-Mogg reminds me of the Trotskyites of my youth. Not just because he is posh (the donkey-jacketed doyen of the Socialist Workers Party at LSE in the early 1980s was an admiral's son, educated at Haileybury), but because of his certainty that chaos today is the price of a glorious tomorrow.
