UK Business Activity Expands In March, Pointing To End Of Recession

UK economic activity continued to expand in March, adding to evidence that the economy has pulled out of last year’s brief recession. The closely watched S&P Global Flash UK PMI Composite Output Index registered 52.9 in March, down fractionally from 53 in February and marginally lower than the 53.1 forecast by economists polled by Reuters, but still above the 50 mark indicating a majority of businesses reporting an expansion in activity.
